REAL GENIUS
I bought the DVD a few weeks back because its one of those movies I absolutely love. Doesn’t matter how many times I’ve seen it, I still watch it whenever it comes on TV and I can’t seem to tear myself away. Doesn’t matter that I could quote most of the lines of the film verbatim or that I know it like the back of my hand—I love it! There are others movies that I do that too as well: Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Footloose, see a patter here? Anyway, I was watching it again and laughing my ass off at it, remembering how it made me feel. I was ten when it came out and I vividly remember thinking it was cool to be smart. (Hey, I was ten...leave me alone.) It just struck me as funny. I really think it was one of those turning points when you switch gears and move in another direction. Sad that Hollywood molded me but hey, could have been worse. Anyone have movies like that…ones you’ll watch again and again? Ones that maybe changed something for you? |
I always wanted to freeze a hallway and slide over the ice... and build lazers powerful enough to make popcorn to swim in. Oh, oh, and... OUCH! What do you mean I can't come over here and just start babbling. *pouting*
